New Business:

Discussion was centred on two issues raised at the last MMAA General Meeting held on 26 February 2006 namely the structure of a “family membership” and the “box trailer mobile BBQ/Kitchen” project.

Membership Types

After much discussion is was agreed that there should be three member types, namely:

1. Full Member - $25.00 yearly fee – applies to active Freemasons

Only financial Full Members are able to vote at meetings. Financial Full Members are able to hold any Office.

2. Associate Member - $25.00 yearly fee – applies to Adult non-Freemasons

Only financial Associate Members are able to vote at meetings. Financial Associate Members are able to hold any Office other than President

3. Family Member - accrues no fee – applies to children or dependents of financial members up to their 18th birthday

Family Members have no voting rights and have observer status only with no speaking rights at general meetings unless the meeting is opened for general discussion.

Family Members are unable to hold any Office

Rules of Incorporation

It was noted that the Rules of Incorporation would need to be adjusted. This would be recommended and put to the next General Meeting.

Box Trailer Mobile BBQ/Kitchen Project

Greg reported that he had spoken to Rick Dwyer – Task Force Leader and after much discussion and further information it was decided not to proceed with the project.

There were 2 other Masonic Groups contemplating the same project and this contributed to our decision to abandon same.

Community Connections Project

Following updates between Greg and Terry on the success of the above project and the Special Effort Raffle being organised by the Werribee Lodge for above it was suggested a donation be given to the above project matching $ for $ raised by the Werribee Lodge Social Club (estimated at approximately $150.00 - $200.00) in lieu of the cancelling of the Box Trailer Mobile BBQ/Kitchen project.

Moved: Grant Bates

Seconded: Greg Marshall

That the MMAA Committee propose, in light of the cancelling of the Box Trailer Mobile BBQ/Kitchen project, that a donation be made to the Community Connections Project matching $ for $ raised by the Werribee Lodge Social Club.”

Carried Subject to Email Ballot of Members

There being no further business the meeting concluded at 10.30am
